A Different Kind Of Turkey Run

The excitement of having 27 people over for Thanksgiving dinner did not leave us unimpressed.  It was a lot of fun, a lot of food, and a lot of family.  I tried a sweet potato casserole I'd pinned, and despite the measurements being off for some of the spices, it turned out fantastic.
Ok, I'm gonna gloss over the food stuff because our Turkey Run began on "Small Business Saturday" with Piglet getting sick.  Then Mikey got sick.  Then Pooh got sick.  Then Roo got sick, Julie, and finally Grandpa.  Grandma has super white blood cells.  Then we heard it bled over into Diane's family late this morning.
This created quite the conundrum since there was supposed to be some pretty extensive travelling today.  Luckily, Grandma is still going strong, Julie recovered quickly (or she's just tougher than the rest of us) and so they went to the airport a while ago. (Bye, Julie!)
Piglet recovered sometime during the night before Roo caught the bug, so it's been an adventure keeping up with him.
The prime suspect is the clinic Piglet and I went to for his shots the day before Thanksgiving.
Here's hoping it's just a 24 hour bug!  Although, it's probably doing wonders for my weight loss...

  1. So far, it really hasn't hit Diane's family. Sarah was complaining of a headache and her "tummy hurt" yesterday but that only lasted until she got home from church. As soon as Dora was on, she jumped around like....well like a Sarah.
We still have our fingers crossed that we'll miss it all together. Wish us luck!
